Ohio celebrates In Demand Jobs week from May 1-5. This is an annual, statewide celebration of the jobs, industries and skills that are in high demand. Headquartered in Ohio, we are excited to share opportunities available for people in all phases of their career. From high school students looking for their first full-time job, to seasoned professionals with industry-recognized credentials in manufacturing, engineering or construction looking to take the next step in their career, we have a variety of openings available throughout the state.
If you're ready to join the innovative manufacturing industry, check out our list of opportunities below.
Worthington Industries partners with local high schools to offer a pre-apprenticeship program, called the Worthington Workforce Experience (WWE), to interested seniors. WWE is a 14-week program designed to give students the opportunity to discover careers in the manufacturing industry. We educate participants by combining career readiness skills training in areas such as safety, communications, finance and problem solving with hands-on techniques that are used in day-to-day work.
We also incorporate a paid Material Handler internship as a part of this curriculum. Students work at the facility during the school year and learn the same skills as our entry-level employees. WWE includes both classroom and hands-on training with the potential to join our team as a full-time employee upon successful completion of the program.
