Geoff G. Gilmore is president and chief executive officer for Worthington Steel and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the metals industry, including leadership in areas such as operations, sales and purchasing. He currently serves on the board of directors for Worthington Steel and Valparaiso University.

Prior to this role, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Worthington Industries. Gilmore joined Worthington Industries in 1998 as an inside sales representative in the Steel Processing division and took on sales roles of increasing responsibility over the following 12 years, from territory manager to commercial lead for all automotive sales. 

In April 2010, he was promoted to general manager of the Worthington Steel facility in Delta, Ohio, where he oversaw the facility’s manufacturing and sales operations. In July 2011, he was named vice president of purchasing for Worthington Industries and was responsible for all purchasing efforts across the company including steel, commodity and OEM purchasing. In August 2012, he was named president of Worthington Industries’ Steel Processing division. In June 2016, he was named president of Worthington Industries Cylinders Corporation.

Gilmore earned his bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and his MBA from The University of Michigan. He resides in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, Erika, and three children.
