Worthington Industries was founded in 1955 by John H. McConnell. The company has grown to become a leading diversified metal processing company with annual sales of approximately $2.4 billion. Products
Worthington Industries is one of North America’s largest independent, value-added steel processors and a leader in manufactured pressure cylinders, such as propane, oxygen and helium tanks, hand-held torches, refrigerant and industrial tanks, camping cylinders, compressed natural gas storage cylinders and scuba tanks; framing systems and stairs for mid-rise buildings; steel pallets and racks; and suspension grid systems for concealed and lay-in panel ceilings.
Customers
Worthington Industries’ two main business segments are Steel Processing andPressure Cylinders. Worthington serves approximately 7,000 customers with no single customer greater than 10 percent of sales. Markets served include automotive, leisure and recreation, industrial gas, agriculture, construction, HVAC, lawn and garden, office equipment and appliance.
