Ralph V. Roberts is senior vice president of marketing for Worthington Industries and president of Worthington Integrated Building Systems (W-IBS) International. Roberts is responsible for international business development and coordination, marketing strategy development and oversight of all joint ventures.
Roberts joined Worthington in 1973 as a sales trainee and worked in various sales capacities through 1979 when he was appointed vice president sales for the Chicago Steel Division. Roberts has held various positions at Worthington including vice president - sales for the Columbus Steel Division, vice president and general manager of the Chicago Steel Division, and executive vice president of Worthington's National Rolling Mills subsidiary in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
He was named CEO of WAVE, a Worthington joint venture with Armstrong World Industries in 1992 and was appointed vice president corporate development for Worthington Industries in 1997, where he was responsible for the company's strategic planning merger and acquisition activities. In June of 1998, he was named group president of Worthington Steel, Worthington Industries' largest subsidiary.
In January of 2001, he was named senior vice president of marketing for Worthington Industries. Beginning in 2006, he concurrently served as president of W-IBS and in January of 2010 was named president of W-IBS International.
Roberts serves on the board of Pinnacle Data Systems and WAVE, TWB and Spartan for Worthington Industries.
Roberts is a Columbus, Ohio native and graduated from The Ohio State University.
He and his wife Lynn have three children.
