Since 1955, Worthington Industries has operated with the Golden Rule as our guiding philosophy. This way of life is evident in our community involvement. Through volunteerism and charitable contributions, we work to improve the quality of life in the communities where our employees live and work.
Contribution Philosophy
Our company actively supports worthwhile community causes in the areas of education, civic organizations, health and human services and arts and culture. Our Philosophy encourages employees to be actively involved in their communities.
Guidelines for Contributions
Following are the types of organizations Worthington Industries supports:
- Nonprofit organizations with an IRS tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3)
- Nonprofit organizations in the local communities where Worthington Industries does business. The majority of our financial support is targeted in central Ohio. This does not preclude partnerships with organizations located in the local regions where our production facilities are located.
Restrictions for Contributions
Worthington Industries generally is unable to support:
- Individuals
- Religious Organizations
- Ethnic Organizations
- Labor Groups
- Fraternal Organizations
- Any request seeking financial support for the purpose of debt retirement
Submitting a Request
If your organization and request meet the criteria outlined above, we invite you to submit your request via our online applications process. This procedure is designed to expedite the request process and reduce your printing and mailing expenses. After submitting your first application, our system will recall much of the information submitted and many of the fields will be pre-filled if you return to the site for additional requests.
